**Who are we looking for?**

We are a supportive and friendly team, who work together to ensure quality of our provision, within the local community to support the needs of the locality.

**What will I be doing as a Learning Support Assistant?**

A Learning Support Assistant plays a critical role in creating a positive learning environment to support learners in achieve their goals. You will ensure that learners receive high quality support to enable them to make good progress from their starting points.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

- Have a good understanding of all learners’ needs, including LDD/SEND and supportive strategies that are included in the group profile and initial assessment.
- Actively engage and motivate learners in decisions that affect them whilst supporting the delivery of tailored programmes that cater for the specific needs, interests, and abilities of each individual learner
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on progress of learners, against targets set, including qualifications and pastoral support needs.
- Develop relationships and liaise with appropriate external agencies in support of learner’s needs and work collaboratively in a multi-agency setting as required.

**Requirements for this role**:

- Previous experience in supporting young people in an education setting is.
- Experience of working with LLDD students with a SEN is.
- L2 English & Maths is.
- An Enhanced with Barred Lists DBS check is.

- Excellent organisational and planning skills - Organise work to meet targets and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work as part of the wider team.
- Communicating to a high standard at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Calm and objective when faced with problems and challenges
