A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team within the NIHR Clinical Research Network North West Coast (CRN NWC) as a Clinical Research Practitioner.

We are looking for self-motivated, research interested individuals who wants to contribute to research that looks to provide answers to important research questions.

We need an innovative workforce to support research studies that will be opened in non-hospital settings, such as care homes, hospices, schools, local authorities & charitable organisations.

The roles offer exciting opportunities to help shape Health and Social Care research delivery.

The post will work across multiple sites of the North West and entails an element of lone working.

The key aims of this post are to
- Build relationships in these settings so that sites consider involvement in research that is important to their populations.

Facilitate recruitment and delivery of NIHR portfolio studies within social care settings.

The post holder will be accountable & responsible to the Senior Research Nurse who will line manage them.

We offer a supportive, exciting, and challenging work environment and are committed to staff training and development. Specific research training will be provided through an induction programme, on-going supervision, and mentoring.

We are looking for team player, who can work independently, possesses excellent communication skills, is able to cope under pressure and has a flexible approach to their work. People who are self-motivated and, with a passion for health and social care research, are encouraged to apply.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The merger provides an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience.

The Trust runs Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

It serves a core population of around 630,000 people across Merseyside as well as providing a range of highly specialist services to a catchment area of more than two million people in the North West region and beyond.

The job will entail supporting social care and community settings to deliver research projects.

Once you have been trained you will be working on a number of research studies and will be responsible for the management of these, ensuring that the correct processes and procedures are followed.

You will be responsible for identifying and recruiting participants to the studies and ensuring the research protocols are followed within the ethical and approved guidelines.
