Bar Supervisor

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals willing to support our Managers in the delivery of the fantastic service expected within our venue and be involved with new ideas going forward.

At The Milking Parlour, Tollgate Brewery, service finishes no later than 9pm, so you can expect to be finished by 9:30pm making the hours much more sociable than comparable positions in other hospitality venues.

**Your main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)**:

- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar, including opening and closing procedures which includes unlocking and locking of the venue
- Running shifts on certain days (at the higher supervisor rate of pay)
- Change barrels and gas in cellar when required (training will be given)
- Ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction
- Helping with training and supervising bar staff on occasions
- Taking food orders and running food to customers

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in hospitality is preferable but the right attitude will be considered before any amount of experience so don't be put off if you have no experience
- Not leaving the area for university after the summer. We want to build a team around our core members of staff and hopefully you will be one of them There will be other positions for temps soon though
- A personality. We love encouraging staff to be themselves and our customers enjoy being able to chat - Which we encourage
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices are a bonus but shall be trained.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old to be able to sell alcohol without a manager nearby.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. We will do our best to have a routine between all the staff as we understand the luxury to be able to plan your life but due to the nature of the job, flexibility is required.

To summarise, we are looking for a permanent part time member of staff to join our team for the foreseeable future and to become a main member of our team going forward. This is with an immediate start as we prepare for the warmer months

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £11.14-£12.44 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
