We are currently recruiting Experienced Lightning Protection Operatives in the Essex & London areas.

Horizon has specialised in Lightning Protection design, installation, test and repair since 1993 the company has an excellent reputation within the industry for its quality, workmanship, excellent client relationships and employee engagement. Horizon is a member of Association of Technical Lightning & Access Specialists and the Steeplejack & Lightning Protection Training Group. Due to the continued growth of this branch, we are looking for 2 new additions to our team based in the Essex/London area.

Applicants should ideally be CSCS carded Lightning Conductor Engineer NVQ Level 2 or 3, able to drive a company van and lodge away if or when required.

A variety of in-house and external training will be provided on an ongoing basis. You will be offered employment and training reviews at 3, 6 and 12 monthly intervals to assess future training and development opportunities.

The following previous training and competency will be considered an asset:

- Use of various work tools, equipment and machinery for excavating at ground level
- Work at height harness/lanyard and anchors competency
- IPAF & PASMA carded

Good communication skills and a basic level of computer literacy are important within this role to enable effective liaison with your Client's, colleagues and sub-contractors. An eye for detail and high expectation of quality is also important to us to ensure we work to current Industry standards and our client's needs.

The role requires employees to be fit to carry equipment and materials from the work vehicle to the site location, walk up flights of stairs to work at roof level, bend and kneel at ground level at multiple locations to access earth pits or excavate the ground.

Occupational Health Medicals are undertaken annually.

30 days holiday are offered (including statutory holidays). Rising to 32 days (including statutory) after 5 years service.
