Café Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Cafe Assistant to join our team in providing excellent service in a bustling cafe environment. The role involves assisting with food preparation, customer service, and maintaining cleanliness in the cafe.

**Duties**:

- Assist with food preparation such as sandwiches, salads, and beverages
- Serve customers with a friendly and helpful attitude
- Maintain cleanliness of the cafe including clearing tables and washing dishes
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
- Help in maintaining stock levels and placing orders when necessary
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Support the team in keeping the cafe organised and running smoothly

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of basic maths for handling cash transactions
- Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
