**Role**: Deputy Head Learning & Inclusion

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB HOLDER**:
- To Lead and manage transition planning, preparation and delivery of high-quality support in a variety of contexts and through a range of delivery methods and, to track, evaluate and market the support offer to learners and staff for optimum effect.
- Lead on workforce development and build, develop high performing teams; drive up standards and provide an outstanding learner experience and excellent learner outcome.
- To initiate and develop innovative approaches, including use of e-learning tools & resources and assistive technology to service efficient delivery and support, to help facilitate accessibility, learning independence, meet the needs of all learners, and increase achievement.
- To model and foster a culture of collaborative working with teaching teams and managers to promote and facilitate awareness of additional learning support on each campus and to ensure it is fully integrated into the curriculum
- To lead the deployment of staff and other resources as required to support learners and to make appropriate adjustments for their assessments and examinations. To ensure quality staff development, as required, and implement identified resource and training needs.
- To manage and review data collating systems and to maintain accurate records for the recording of activities associated with learner support in order to claim funding and to provide management information as required.
- To maintain accurate and auditable learning support records and to develop and ensure the implementation of systems to assess, monitor and track learners learning support needs and arrangements.
- To work closely with the Head of Learning Inclusion to formulate, implement and develop Additional Learning Support and Learning Centre policies and procedures in in accordance with the strategic aims of the College.
- To lead the process of regular and annual reviews for learners with EHCPs and to develop and maintain effective and professional relationships with parents, the local authorities and health & care services around the learner.
- Deputise for the head of service at external and inter-departmental meetings as required to ensure that there is a strong and consistent representation of learning inclusion services.
- To take responsibility for regular review and evaluation of ALS & Learning Centre services, using agreed quality procedures, including student voice, learning walks and innovative strategies to improve quality and the learner experience to ensure needs are fully met.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £14.50-£30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 37 per week
