Your new company
Hays has exclusively partnered with established manufacturing company with Revenues of $10bn. This company is currently looking to hire a Credit Control Customer Liaison Assistant at our Hereford branch. The role will provide general assistance in all areasof the Credit Control department and will require strong interpersonal skills to liaise with external customers on the telephone and internal branch managers across the UK business.
Your new role
- Regular telephone contact with external customers to build business relationships to manage the collection of debt
- Manage and resolve customer queries, whilst maintaining positive working relationships
- Investigation of old debt
- Work closely with other Credit Control team members and cover workload where required
- Manage the administration of all new accounts
- Produce weekly/monthly sales ledger reports
- Assist in managing the archiving of the Credit Control Department records

What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent customer service skills from a telesales or customer facing role
- Excellent communication skills and confident telephone manner with customers
- Good IT Proficiency - Outlook, Excel, Word packages
- Numerate, with the ability to work accurately and quickly
- Ability to structure workloads effectively
- Meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers at all levels
- Flexible and adaptable to change

What you'll get in return
- Remuneration: Up to £20K dependent upon experience
- Core hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week (40 hours with 30 min unpaid break) office based with option for flexibility on start and finish times
- Pension: Defined Contribution, after successful probation period, 3% Employer and 5% Employee Annual leave: 23 days + bank holidays
- Probation period: 3 months Notice period: 3 months (following successful probation period)
