An opportunity has arisen for an HGV / Mechanic, to join our team based in Carnwath. To help maintain an expanding fleet of vehicles.

To inspect, maintain, install, and repair a diverse range of vehicles and trailers in a safe, efficient, and economic manner, employing skills and knowledge, with due regard for Technical and Health and Safety Legislation.

To work with customers and co-workers to establish a timeframe for the completion of each project.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance, repair, and servicing to vehicles, as and when required.
- 6 weekly inspections to vehicles in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
- Sign off 6 weekly checks and service records.
- Fault finding on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Accident repairs as required.
- Ordering parts as and when required.
- Ensure documentation is completed, and accurate records maintained.
- Ensuring the workshop is always kept clear and tidy, at all times.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety rules and procedures at all times and ensure safe methods of working.

Excellent communication skills are essential, as is a strong work ethic, reliability, and a flexible approach to working hours.

Experience of working with Construction and Agricultural machinery would be advantageous, as would experience of light vehicle repairs. An HGV licence and a CSCS card would be desirable.
