**Who are we**:
Severndale Specialist Academy is a multi-site Academy catering for children with special educational needs in Shropshire. Our children and young people can access Severndale Specialist Academy from Reception through to Sixth Form and have a range of learning difficulties.

**What is the purpose of the role**:
The main purpose of this role is to effectively provide for the education and welfare of designated groups and pupils.

**Role requirements**:

- Qualifications, knowledge and experience in Horticulture
- Experience of the delivery or production of Horticulture
- Experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs
- Ability to motivate and inspire students with differing abilities and needs

**Skills required**:

- Ability to build good relationship with children, teachers and parents
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate high levels of safety awareness
- Flexible approach to working environment
- Appropriate fitness levels to cope with the nature of the role

**What’s included**:

- Permanent post
- Salary range Scale 6, from £14.17 per hour to £15.26 per hour
- 35 hours per week for 47 weeks of the year (Term time plus 3 weeks)

- Continuing Professional Development
