A Finance Manager is required on a permanent basis to join a small construction services business based on the outskirts of Guildford to lead their finance function and deliver reporting to their group owners.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take responsibility for:

- Production of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
- Bank reconciliations including posting of payments, receipts and retentions
- Preparation of annual financial budgets
- Payroll - processing & submission of monthly payroll and weekly subcontractor payments
- Production of rolling 6 weekly cashflow forecast required by Group
- Process Month End Journals - including Depreciation, FA, Prepayments, Accruals
- Provide monthly analysis of Gross Margin and variances for forecast
- Monthly Reconciliations such as Debtor and Creditor reports
- Preparation of VAT and CIS returns
- Manage HMRC submissions
- Maintain the Fixed asset register
- Manage Domestic Reverse Charge with suppliers and customers
- Analysis and review of staff expense claims to ensure claims are within the company staff expenses policy
- Ensure payments are raised in accordance with agreed payment terms with suppliers
- Produce schedules to support the consolidated group accounts
- Ensure Overhead Costs are allocated correctly and highlight any issues to management
- Manage recharge of intercompany costs between subsidiaries
- Any other duty deemed by the directors to be in the interest of the team in achieving its objectives

**Your Profile**

The successful Finance Manager will be a qualified or qualified by experience finance professional with at least 5 year work experience. The Finance Manager will ideally have a background in businesses within construction or services but this isn't essentialif you are willing to learn and diversify your experience.

Our client has been running nearly 30 years and has a real family feel. They have continued to grow organically and recently became part of a larger listed group and are aiming to expand further with their support. Based on the outskirts of Guildford, theyoffer a warm and friendly environment in their team of ten (plus 2 office dogs). Parking is available or there is a local train link a short walk away.

**Salary & Benefits**

This Finance Manager role will pay between £45,000 and £48,000 plus bonus, pension and 25. The role is predominantly office based but there is flexibility available for the right person with the ability to negotiate around office working hours and remoteworking at times to fit around your commitments.
