Shop assistant duties will include overseeing the merchandising of the products in the store by creating attractive displays and monitoring the general maintenance of the store. It will also include overseeing the back store inventory and ordering, receiving and processing merchandise for sale.

This role should also investigate market trends and offer products that would appeal to customers and address customers' requests, complaints and comments. On top of this, they should also oversee duties including managing the cash register or point of sale system and helping customers find products in their store.
- Receiving, unpacking and arranging new shipments from suppliers and vendors
- Arranging and labelling goods on the display shelves
- Assisting customers in finding the products they’re looking for
- Processing customer payments at the checkout point/till
- Addressing customer complaints and inquiries
- Providing shopping advice and recommendations to customers
- Cleaning and rearranging the store after-hours
- Performing periodic price audits to resolve price discrepancies
- Collaborating with other team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organised at all times

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 35 per week
