**The Role**

We are now seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to be office-based in Speke, Liverpool. This person will carry out a wide variety of daily tasks including processing purchase invoices, reconciling payments and maintaining database records. Experience is preferred, however, we will provide full training and support. We would consider part-time applicants working a minimum of 27.5 hours per week in this role.

**Job Specification**

The position involves:

- Purchase invoice processing, reconciliation with delivery notes and purchase orders
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Reconciliation of credit card payments
- Processing expenses
- Maintain accounting database records
- Auditing monthly day books
- Assisting in month-end and year-end reporting as required
- Reception duties, including welcoming visitors and dealing with delivery of goods
- Other similar duties as agreed with line manager

**Person Specification**
- GCSE grade 4/grade C or higher in Maths and English
- Competent with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Able to work well as a member of a team
- A quick learner and able to solve problems
- Purchase Ledger experience would be desirable

**Hours**:37.5hrs per week full time or a minimum of 27.5hrs per week part time.

A flexitime system operates for this post.

**Salary** £22,500-£25,000 pro rata

**Holidays** 20 days per year pro rata (increasing by 1 day for each year served up to a maximum of 5 days, total 25 days)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,500.00-£25,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 27.5 - 37.5 per week
