We have the following shifts available. Happy for the right person to have all 3 shifts or for a person to have 1 shift.

We are looking for someone who is Barista trained or has worked in a cafe / restaurant before.

You must be over 18 years old as you will be serving alcohol.

There will be some evening shifts to help with our catering events.

Shifts available are

Thursday 11.30 - 4.30pm

Friday 11.30 - 4.30pm

Saturday 10.30 - 4.30pm

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe and providing excellent customer service to our patrons. This is a paid position that offers an opportunity for growth and development within the food service industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately
- Prepare and serve beverages, such as coffee, tea, milkshakes and smoothies
- Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies as needed

**Requirements**:

- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Willingness to learn and help out in various areas of the cafe as needed
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £8.60-£11.70 per hour

Expected hours: 9 per week
