Dog Groomer Apprentice

**Duties will include but not limited to**:

- Dealing with customers in the boutique
- Cleaning the salon to a high standard
- Caring for the clients much loved pets
- Washing, clipping and trimming
- Health and Safety

You will be dealing with a variety of dogs and need to be able to adapt to their needs to give them a positive experience.

**Desired qualifications**
- English and maths Grade 5/C or equivalent is desired but not essential
- Applicants must not already hold level 2 or above in Dog Grooming

**Future prospects**

**Training**
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Dog Groomer Apprenticeship
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

**Things to consider**
- Must be physically fit as you will be on your feet most of the day and handling a variety of different sizes and breeds of dogs
- KEITS reserves the right to close this vacancy early should the need arise
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Dog Grooming Apprenticeship
