**Trainee/Improver - Welder Fabricator/Fitter Welder**

Full - Time Position

Monday - Friday

08.00 - 16.30Hrs Monday -Thursday

08.00 - 15.30Hrs Friday

Working for a small engineering company based in the Newbury area with car parking facilities as a trainee/improver, to assist with the building of specialist vehicles and associated equipment. You will be working directly with a team of craftsmen under the control of the Workshop Manager.

You will need to work as part of the small team, have good communication skills and a pleasing personality.

You will be involved with the following, but training will be given as required.
- Working with a full range of Carbon Steels (sheet, plate, bar and various sections etc.) and work to a good standard with MIG welding.
- Working with aluminium and stainless steel, and work to a good standard with TIG welding.
- Working with a variety of machine tools including guillotine, bending and cutting equipment.

Trainee/Improver responsibilities include:

- Manufacture of components to engineering drawings.
- Manufacture of components to verbal instruction.
- Fabrication and Welding of specialist truck bodies and associated equipment.
- Use of a full range of workshop equipment to assist with the above.

**Salary**: To be discussed - depending on experience

Driving Licence (Essential) due to location.

PPE will be provided.

Overtime Work maybe available.

A willingness to learn new skills and improve existing skills is a requirement for this role.
