**Job Title**:HSEQ Advisor

**Location**:Office based with some field work involving clients, suppliers and construction sites.

**Hours of Work**:08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 15:00 on a Friday

**Reports to**:HSEQ Manager

**Where you fit**:The role fits within the HSEQ Department learning all aspects of HSEQ Management whilst providing administrative support in maintaining records and evidence of compliance.

This is a position that aims to develop a capable HSEQ professional of the future with management potential.

**Key Objectives**:

- To support the HSEQ Manager in delivering all aspects of the company's HSEQ management systems.
- Undertake training as required to develop skills, knowledge, competence and credibility in the role.

**Job Challenge**:
Maintaining a management system which extends across all aspects of the business involving everyone regardless of their role. Ensuring all functions deliver essential HSEQ records and comply with controlling documents, processes, procedures, instructions and other information is the core of the role which demands a critical eye and a methodical approach to record keeping.

A tenacious attitude in driving compliance is an essential characteristic in being successful in this role.

**Main Tasks**:
**These will include but will not be limited to**:

- Scanning and filing records
- Gathering information from various sources (internal and external)
- Maintain records, registers and databases
- Up-date documents as required
- Work with other departments providing guidance and advice on HSEQ matters
- Assist in internal and external HSEQ audits and certification assessments
- Maintaining third-party approvals through on-line platforms and external audits
- Provide general clerical assistance across all HSEQ tasks
- Drive a positive HSEQ culture
- Provide support and assistance in other areas of the business as directed
- Improve performance at all levels of the business by supporting delivery of the annual HSEQ strategy, objectives and targets.

**Key Performance Indicators**:

- All HSEQ records and documents up-to-date, available at the point of use and readily accessible through the agreed methods
- External approvals and certifications maintained
- All audits and annual reviews completed on time
- Personal development milestones as agreed with the HSEQ Manager

**Person Specification**:
**Essential**:

- GCSE / A Level English and Maths
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate especially competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite in particular Excel and Word.
- ** Personal Qualities**:A meticulous approach to the role is required to ensure standards are maintained and when appropriate enhanced.
- Attention to detail is an essential key quality in fulfilling this role.
- Self-motivated with a desire to develop into an HSEQ management professional.

**Desirable**:

- HSEQ related qualifications
- Knowledge of manufacturing and construction methods
- An interest in HSEQ compliance and management.
- Able to communicate at all levels within the business
- Develop internal and external relationships ensuring compliance with requirements.
