If this sounds like you then United Response wants to hear from you We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to join a supported living service in Newmarket, supporting 3 young adults with a mix of disabilities but united by a love for life and getting out and about.
Here at United Response we are driven by our mission to provide person-centred support and as such you will have a varied role which will involve having a positive and creative approach to support work.
**As a Support Worker you will be responsible for**:
- Providing active support
- Assisting with health and well-being
- Supporting with chores and cooking
- Accompanying on leisure activities such as cooking classes and sailing
- Promoting independence with the people we support
- Personal care
- Taking an active interest in the people you will support
To be a successful Support Worker you must firstly be passionate about supporting people with disabilities and share our values of being united, responsive, creative, honest and strong. You should be a patient and resilient individual who is willing to invest time in getting to know the people we support and understand what care best supports their needs. Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.
**In return for your hard work as a Support Worker you will receive**:
- £10.50 per hour
- 20 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata for part time), which increases after 3 and 5 years’ service
- Pension contribution
- Access to free occupational health, physiotherapy, counselling and advice services
- Fully paid training and access to nationally recognised qualifications
- Travel to work scheme (season ticket loan)
- Access to an online shopping platform with discounts from over 3,500 retailers
