The Court Officer role sits within the Income Management Team who are responsible for the collection of current and former rent and arrears for Torus.

**This is an important role in which you will**:
Cover the court function for the St Helens and Warrington heartlands. The role will involve preparing and presenting cases in court for possession. Where required you will liaise with external solicitors, advice agencies and others to ensure work carried out externally meets Torus needs and is fully compliant with relevant legislation. You will also develop strong links with the Court Service.

You will provide support to the Income Officers on cases that are at the court stage within the arrears process by providing specialist technical advice.

A key focus will be to carry out audits on high level arrears cases that are at court stage within the arrears process. To support the team and the Income Manager in delivering a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring KPI targets for rent collection are achieved.

You will liaise with customers, to minimise arrears, making the appropriate referrals to external and internal support agencies to maximise rental income and sustain tenancies.

**To be successful in this role you will**:
You’ll have experience of working in an income management role with a background of working with targets and KPI's. You will have excellent planning, organisational and interpersonal skills.

You will need to be a problem-solver, could work on your own initiative, as well as being a team player.

You will be committed, honest always looking for ways to do things better, focused on making sure we achieve our target, aims and objectives, always putting the customer at the centre of everything we do.
