Nursery Practitioner/nursery Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery. **Responsibilities**:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Observe and monitor children's progress, behavior, and development
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's daily activities and progress
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery
- Provide guidance and support to assistant practitioners and volunteers
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and any incidents
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Promote positive behavior management techniques
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early childhood education setting
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- A valid driver's license (preferred)
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with childcare regulations and guidelines
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Reports to: Nursery Manager
**Responsible for**:
Our Early Years Assistants are responsible for providing a high standard of learning, development and care for our children, which is steeped in the knowledge of attachment theory and early brain development. Supported by our Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager, our team will nurture environments that are emotionally and physically safe.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: £24,960.00-£26,344.50 per year
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
