**Part time, 21 hours a week generally between Monday and Wednesday 9am to 5pm (flexible hours)**

We have an exciting opportunity for two part time Clinical Psychologists to join our team. You would be responsible for providing a helpline for our support staff who work directly with clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness including people who have poor mental and physical wellbeing, substance misuse and alcohol support needs, have experienced childhood trauma, domestic abuse and relationship breakdown and people who find it difficult to communicate or behave in ways that are deemed socially acceptable.

You would also provide group reflective practice sessions to prevent staff burnout and reduce the impact of vicarious trauma, including debriefs after incidents occur to help staff process incidents, deal with feelings and to develop resilience.

FTE Salary: £48,929 - £54,366 per annum

**Main Responsibilities**

Leadership
- Provide a coaching style of leadership, which empowers and encourages high performance and creativity with staff members who call the helpline - seeking individuals to be empowered to take decisions and to reflect on their own role and behaviour in difficult situations
- Provide effective leadership and support to staff - role modelling a leadership style with vision and drive, which inspires and motivates colleagues to be the best they can and provides reassurance when they are faced with difficult situations within services

Performance management
- Deliver accurate key performance data and outcome data for internal audiences
- Ensure approaches, behaviours, values and culture are consistently applied throughout the organisation
- Internal and External relationships
- Maintain and develop effective working relationships with internal colleagues to enhance our approaches to delivering high quality services to our clients by ensuring that practice recommendations are shared with our business development and improvement manager.
- Maintain confidential and supportive environments for staff who are accessing the helpline
- Regionally and nationally raise and maintain the organisation’s profile and reputation both within and beyond the sector

Internal and External relationships
- Maintain and develop effective working relationships with internal colleagues to enhance our approaches to delivering high quality services to our clients by ensuring that practice recommendations are shared with our business development and improvement manager
- Maintain confidential and supportive environments for staff who are accessing the helpline
- Regionally and nationally raise and maintain the organisation’s profile and reputation both within and beyond the sector

Personal and professional development
- Attend clinical supervision sessions as required

**Attributes & Values**
- Post-graduate doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society, or British Psychological Society Statement of Equivalence.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a clinical psychologist or a counselling psychologist
- Experience of having successfully undertaken a similar role and a background of work within the sector
- Experience of working with people who have substance misuse and complex trauma
- Experience of evidence based therapeutic interventions including (one or more of) Systemic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Positive Behaviour Support, Mentalisation Based Treatment (MBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
- Experience of coaching staff effectively
- Experience of multi-site and remote management of services and people
- Ability to work with IT based records, produce reports, and monitor KPI’s
- Experience of working collaboratively with staff and clients.
- Knowledge of homelessness, mental health and substance misuse
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice in relation to mental health and safeguarding
- Knowledge of safeguarding adults and young people
- Knowledge of psychologically informed environments and trauma informed care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build productive internal networks and partnerships
- Ability to prioritise work tasks Good written skills
- Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
- Ability to work creatively and flexibly
