**Job Role**

We are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Fitter to work within our onsite maintenance team. All plant and machinery onsite is used to produce, service and maintain products for the Scottish Aquaculture Industry. The role will primarily focus on delivering mechanical maintenance, refurbishment and new installation works.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Maintain, repair and install mechanical equipment for various processes within the plant.
- Assist in working with our existing maintenance staff.
- Swiftly and comprehensively fault-find, rectifying problems on a variety of mechanical equipment including sewage pumps and valves and associated pipe work, filter presses, centrifuge dewatering, screens, filter equipment, tanks, net washing equipment, lifting equipment.
- Identifying problematic plant and the subsequent faults and to take part in finding efficient solutions to return equipment to working order.
- Responding to emergency breakdowns.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Working in a small team.
- Working to relevant health and safety standards within the work place

**What we are looking for**
- A fully qualified mechanical fitter.
- Welding and fabrication skills helpful but not essential
- Flexible can-do attitude and ability to prioritise
- Good working knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and best practice
- Positive approach to work and learning
- Good time management
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Good team player
- Driving Licence (preferred but not critical)

**Desirable**
- Counterbalance and or telehandler forklift licence

**Working Hours**
- Full time position - 39hr week
- Monday to Thursday 0800-1700 and Friday 0800-1300 inclusive of breaks
- Overtime / Weekend availability
