We are currently recruiting for a **Mess Supervisor** to be a part of our integral team at Officers and Sgts Mess, Imphal Barracks, York, YO10 4HD**Perks of the job*

**£26,000 per year**

- Full time 40 hours a week, usually Monday - Friday but some occasional weekend work will be required (one weekend in three)

**What you'll be doing**
*
- Efficient management of the Mess which caters breakfast, lunch and dinner for mess members and accommodation for live-in members.
- Managing your team, making sure the best service is available to our customer whilst the unit is open
- To oversee a smooth day to day running of the mess’s
- Organizing day to day hospitality functions and dinners
- Motivating and leading your team, leading by example
- Provide excellent customer service to the clients and deal with complaints effectively and efficiently.
- Efficient management of functions, hospitality, and events
- Ensuring that we deliver high quality customer service to the mess members and other military personnel

**Experience**
*
- Supervisory experience is preferred, but full training will be given
- Previous operational experience working within a mess, contract catering, hotel or restaurant environment
- Must be able to show good leadership skills, this role would suit someone looking to move up the management ladder
- Good financial awareness and knowledge in managing budgets and growing sales
- Previous experience in functions and events management and have a deep appreciation and respect for traditions
- Good PC skills
