**About us**
The Strategic Estates department are engaged in carrying out a full range of professional duties associated with the Strategic Estate Management of the Council’s property assets. We support internal client departments in providing a comprehensive advice service in relation to commercial property lease renewals/rent reviews (Landlord and Tenant negotiations), marketing and disposal/acquisition of key strategic sites/property, regeneration projects, site assessments and valuation.
**About the role**
Pay Details: Grade 8 (£32,909-£36,298) increasing to
Grade 9 (£37,261-£41,496)
(Career graded post based on Grade 8 entry as graduate moving to Grade 9 upon passing RICS Assessment of Professional Competence).
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 Hours, Mon to Fri
Main Place of Work: Civic Offices
**Description**:
To assist the Operational Manager Property and Strategic Estates Manager in the provision of Estates / Asset Management and valuation services.
**About you**
You will need:
- Experience in Estate Management, Valuation and Asset Management ideally within a Public Sector.
- Practical Experience of dealing with Landlord and Tenant Matters ideally in a public sector organisation.
- Experience of writing reports.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to property / office accommodation.
- Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation.
- Excellent Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
- Excellent IT skills.
- Excellent Report Writing skills.
- Strong Workload and organisation skills with proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Strong Problem Solving and Negotiating skills.
- RICS accredited degree qualification in Estate Management or equivalent. (Grade 8)
- Full Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors MRICS (Only required with a move up to Grade 9)
- Positive and self-motivated.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology
Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate and access to a vehicle.
