**Conservation Officer**:
Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT) is an independent charitable trust who work to promote, manage, and maintain Fife’s exceptional outdoor spaces. We are currently seeking a ‘Conservation Officer’ who will be an integral part in driving our work forward. The Conservation Officer will report to the Conservation Manager and will be part of the FCCT Conservation and Engagement (C&E) team. They will conduct conservation and community engagement activities to further the aims and objectives of the FCCT conservation agenda and Fife Biodiversity Action Plan. The postholder will work closely with other partner agencies including Fife Council and third sector organisations and will be focused on time bound conservation projects with specified outcomes.

**Essential Characteristics**:

- Knowledge of national and international environmental and conservation agendas
- Training in, and practical experience of, ecological survey data gathering techniques.
- Project management experience
- Experience of delivering projects on time and to budget.
- Excellent time management
- Experience of delivering projects with a wide range of stakeholders
- Working with agency, diplomacy & flexibility
- Good understanding of the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy
- Flexible mindset, able to be self-critical.
- Good verbal communication skills
- Confident leading large groups
- Experience of managing and working with volunteers
- Clear grasp of the Scottish Outdoor Access Code
- Team player
- A full UK driving licence or access to a driver if disability prevents driving.

This post is a full-time (36 hours per week) permanent post with an annual salary from £26,242.46 - £29,245.89 (pro rata). Work will be delivered over a five-day week but may include some evening and weekend work as required.
