Job title: Export Officer

Location: Samlesbury - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements

**Salary**: £39,316 - £43,323 (Progressing as you develop)

What you’ll be doing:

- Planning and implementing the exporting deliveries of military equipment under current legislation
- Ensuring compliance to regulatory, legislative, and contractual requirements and adhering to UK trade controls, delivery terms and their implementation
- Liaising with customers and other internal or external bodies (e.g. - freight forwarders) on Export matters
- Ensuring governance and compliance in regard to the physical delivery of customer and BAE Systems’ assets are always considered
- Ensuring the financial element of export operations are considered at every opportunity

Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Professionally qualified in an international trade discipline or equivalent experience with supply chain and logistics
- Experience in an Export role is essential with experience in dealing with Export Controlled Goods and customs formalities
- Must be familiar with legal requirements regarding import and export of shipments
- Understanding of the role of freight forwarders
- Must be familiar with Customs procedures

**Desirable**
- Ideally be a member of the institute of Export

As an Export Officer in this team, you will be required to meet the increasingly complex needs for the physical delivery of Air Sector assets for existing and emerging international customers. You will also contribute to the reporting within the company framework and for the escalation of all business issues relating to export operations. This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain export operational experience across all Air platforms including US Programmes and Europe & International
