**Overview of role: - **A dynamic, detail orientated role supporting the Research and Development Manager by managing routine product development and change activities.
**Principle responsibilities: -** To carry out all tasks set out by the Research and Development Manager in accordance with company requirements.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensuring that approved changes are incorporated in product designs, where necessary, including the revision and update of existing product manuals to reflect these changes.
- Creating, reviewing and updating product BOM's for new or changed product designs, including management pf product entries in the ERP.
- Ensuring that new product release packs are complete prior to hand-over to Production, including confirming that the ERP records are complete and accurate.
- Peer-checking technical drawings and product documentation prior to formal review by the Quality Manager, as required.
- Updating documentation to reflect changed product and/or software specifications.
- Regularly review and update assembly instructions and test sheets to changes in products, components, or manufacturing processes are documented.
- Liaison with the Quality Manager to determine, define and develop existing product specifications, quality requirements and test specifications.
- Collaboration with the Operations Manager and the Sales and Marketing Manager to support product development and production planning.
- Liaison with Operations, Sales and Marketing in communication of technical information for new and refreshed products.
- Undertaking product reviews with the Quality Manager and Service Manager to assess potential product improvement opportunities.
- Undertaking limited product improvement projects as directed by the Research and Development Manager.
- Managing the product technical files on the company ERP system.
- Participation in product and market analysis meetings, to support the identification of trends in the marketplace, and the identification of new technological breakthroughs.
- Participation in the Change Management reviews as necessary, to ensure approved changes are implemented in existing product designs.
- Liaison with suppliers to update technical product details.
**Required Skills and Competencies: -**
- Must be familiar in the use of ERP packages.
- Must be confident in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be self-motivated and capable of managing workloads.
- Good attention to detail.
**Desired Skills: -**
- The ability to comprehend technical diagrams is desirable.
- Good understanding of electronic and mechanical manufacturing processes.

required. Customers only allowed in the trade area. Our outside workers not permitted on the premises. All hand gels PPE provided, all areas are sanitised daily.

- Kenley, CR8 5AU: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Electronic & Mechanical Manufacturing: 3 years (required)
