**Who are we?**

A multi-award-winning têxtile manufacturer with two centuries of heritage and a forward-thinking approach to innovation and sustainability, Camira designs and manufactures environmental fabrics for the commercial, public transport and residential sectors.

**Purpose**:
To inspect, recover and report on fabric which has been rejected from manufacturing, inspection or QA for fabric faults. The output of this role will be fabric which is cut in an optimal way which is saleable and maximises the sales opportunity for the business.

**Key Tasks and Accountabilities**:

- To identify any remaining faults in the fabric
- To mark up with the appropriate number of identifying tags faults that remain in the fabric after process
- To record number of faults on the computer system and make an allowance on final length to the customer
- Understand and follow our internal tagging procedure
- Create new pieces on the system based on optimised cutting of quarantine pieces
- Input information onto the scrap report to allow accurate reporting of faults and costs
- To print off and attached the finished piece to the roll and place finished piece into a stillage for despatch to warehouse
- Manage housekeeping so it is clean and tidy at all times
- Complete stock-taking of quarantine locations and update AS400 to ensure accuracy
- To follow all H&S instruction and work in a safe manor taking care of self and others
- Report near misses as appropriate
- Such other duties which are required and are reasonable

**Knowledge and aptitudes required**:

- Experience of identifying fabric faults
- Experience of fabric warehouse and stock control
- Licence to drive FLT or picker truck would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience of woven têxtiles, fabric finishes and treatments

**Personal Competencies**:

- Patience to deal with repetitive workloads
- Good time management with an organised and methodical approach
- Driven with the ability to handle pressure
- Confident, professional, and courteous, when dealing with internal and external customers, or suppliers
- Self-motivation and focused

**Working Pattern**:

- 6am-2pm
- 37.5h a week
