We are AMS. Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of our clients’ recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.
Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence.
At present we are looking for a **Supply Chain Planner** to work on our client’s site in **Derby** on an initial **12-month contract**.
As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager and have the responsibility for delivering flexible, high quality and robust materials requirements planning support as part of an integrated team.
Whilst the Supply Chain Planner will have a strong understanding of the operational supply chain, they must also have an excellent supplier management skillset being able to performance manager any issues that arise.
The role will be working at our client’s Derby site 3 days per week with the rest spent remote working.
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
- Building and developing supplier relations and resolving any issues
- Coordinating cross functional activities between supply chain, projects, engineering and production
- Capacity planning with external and internal supply chains
- Presenting the required information and updates at production and project meetings with regards to the progress of procured materials
- To operate to the relevant policies and procedures of the business.
**Key Skills and experience required (E.G skilled or unskilled)**
- Experience as a Supply Chain Planner within a busy engineering environment
- Significant experience working and developing suppliers
- Have the ability to make performance management decisions through using data
- Good understanding of reporting, using Excel and able to create formulas
- Ideally will have experience using SAP
AMS, a Recruitment Process Outsourcing Company, may in the delivery of some of its services be deemed to operate as an Employment Agency or an Employment Business.
