**Waste Project Assistant**
**Salary Range: £30,483 - £36,936 per annum**
**Fixed-Term-12 months**
**Location-Richmond (Civic Centre, Twickenham) and/or Wandsworth (Frogmore Depot, Wandsworth) Predominantly borough-based working with some home working permitted.**

If your answers are yes, we want to hear from you
We are looking for four Waste Project Assistants to help deliver waste and Community Toilet scheme related projects and trials in the London boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth. You will help to deliver our climate and environment related action plans by helping to reduce waste, increase re-use and improve the delivery of recycling services along with related performance. One post holder will also focus on liaising with Richmond’s small business community to improve the provision of community toilets for local residents and visitors.
These roles are fixed-term contracts for one year and you will be part of a small but friendly waste team within a large workforce, most of which serves both Richmond and Wandsworth Councils.
**About the roles**
**We are seeking to recruit to four similar posts**
**Post 1: Waste Projects Assistant
- Richmond only (recycling support)**
**Post 2: Waste Projects Assistant
- Wandsworth only (estates waste/recycling service improvement)**
**Post 3: Waste Projects Assistant
- Wandsworth only (weekly food recycling collection service roll-out)**
**Post 4: Waste Projects Assistant
- Richmond only for first 6 months (Community Toilets improvement project), then supporting the three main focus areas above across both boroughs)**
**Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
Knowledge and practical experience of delivering effective projects in a supporting role.
Knowledge of local authority waste and recycling services, procedures and techniques.
Experience of developing and maintaining large datasets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience of effective engagement with community groups, property managers, small businesses and other stakeholders.
A clean full UK driving licence and/or be able to travel to sites borough wide on a regular basis.
You will be welcomed into a service area which delivers a range of waste and street cleansing related contracts and associated services.
