We are proudly working with IQ Engineers in York (YO26) which is an independent, family-owned company underpinned by fantastic staff. We are recruiting for an experienced **Business Support Administrator** to join their established and successful team.

This role (due to expansion) to provide additional administrative support to all departments within the business so it’s a very varied role.

**The role of Business Support Administrator involves the following**:

- Purchasing administration and supplier liaison
- Sales order processing
- Collating timesheets and scanning reports
- Being the first point of contact for incoming telephone enquiries, visitors and assisting with basic sales & servicing quotes
- To assist with the completion of questionnaires when setting up accounts or tendering for works.
- Assisting Accounts with checking delivery notes, invoices & other bookkeeping tasks.
- Completing new customer forms
- To assist the Deputy General Manager with Personnel administration
- Assisting in the production of Job Plans utilising the IQ quote & assisting in compiling relevant documents for site staff.
- Keeping the work diary up to date
- Issuing enquiries to suppliers, placing purchase orders, expediting orders and communicating expected deliveries internally.
- Assisting with Quality and Health and Safety Administration
- To assist with scanning of documents / opening post
- Filing / shredding as required
- Assisting with the housekeeping of the office facilities, keeping areas clean and tidy/emptying bins etc.
- Any other duties appropriate to the post as required by your Line Managers & Directors

**The successful Business Administrator will have the following**:

- A mature approach
- Able to develop good relationships with customers
- Good IT skills, including outlook, word processing, spreadsheets & databases
- The ability to listen and learn
- A positive, friendly attitude and flexible approach with the ability to show initiative in improving / developing current or new systems.

The type of person who will fit in here will be easy to get along with, enjoy team working & giving excellent customer service, and, who demonstrates commitment and drive.

**Salary** - £23-25K

**Job type** - Permanent, full time Monday to Friday (flexible working hours, would consider school hours for the right person)

**Holidays** - 33 days
