Formwork Carpenter

As a Formwork Joiner, you will play a crucial role in the construction project by creating the temporary structures necessary to support concrete during the pouring and curing process. Your expertise in 1st and 2nd fix joinery will be essential in crafting precise and sturdy formwork, ensuring the successful completion of the project.
- Formwork Construction: Interpret construction plans and specifications to construct formwork using timber, plywood, and other materials as required.
- Layout and Measurement: Accurately measure, mark, and cut materials to the appropriate dimensions for formwork assembly.
- Installation and Stripping: Set up formwork on the construction site, ensuring it is level, plumb, and secure. Also, assist in the timely removal of formwork after concrete has cured.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Inspect and repair formwork as needed to ensure structural integrity and safety during the construction process.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while working on-site to maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.
- Communication: Collaborate with other construction team members, including carpenters, contractors, and supervisors, to ensure smooth workflow and project progress.
