As a Brewer you will use your brewing expertise and knowledge of our brewery operations to help ensure production goals are met while maintaining the highest quality standards. This position will require both close collaboration with the wider business and an element of self-direction.
The role
Salary - £28,000 - £30,000 DOE
Key responsibilities
The role will entail but not be limited to:
- Fully understands all processes at EBF. Provides cross-training opportunities by covering job duties for others within our cidery business.
- Promotes a clean and organised workspace
- Operating our 48HL Simatec Brewhouse.
- Cellaring operations in the brewery.
- Performs regular preventive maintenance on brewing equipment
- Routine lab testing as well as various quality improvement projects
- Ensure that SOPs are being followed in daily operations. Edit and adjust SOPs as needed
- Manage EBF’s Pilot Brewing System and NPD projects
- Assists in raw materials acquisition and maintaining inventory
You will be able to demonstrate
- A passion for our beer, craft beer in general, and the wider industry
- Demonstrable experience in commercial breweries
- Demonstrates a growth mindset
- Strong technical knowledge of beer production
- Positive and committed attitude and strong communication skills
- Diligent record keeping and organisational skills
- Able to work both independently and within a team to accomplish tasks
- A commitment to keeping a clean and safe working environment
- Legal right to work in the UK
Desirable
- Brewing Degree/Diploma
- Full UK driving licence
- Forklift Licence
