We are now recruiting for** LGV/HGV C+E Class 1 Drivers** on a full time, permanent basis at our Hilsea site.

**Shifts**:

- Wednesday-Saturday - 10:00am start - £29K per annum basic £36K median salary including average OT earnings.
- Wednesday-Saturday 23:59pm start - £32,700K per annum - £40K median salary including average OT earnings.
- 5 on 3 off - 10:00am start - £32,700K per annum - £40.5K median salary including average OT earnings.
- 4 on 4 off - 23:59pm start - £32,300K per annum - £39K median salary including average OT earnings.
- Providing high standard of customer service and relations to customers and suppliers, always ensuring compliance with their site rules and regulations.
- Liaising with the Transport Operations desk to make them aware of any potential difficulties, delays or any variations from original brief.
- Ensuring that the vehicle is always driven with the utmost concern for other road users, pedestrians, and the local environments through which you travel.
- To accurately complete all documentation required by the Company and the customer.
- Ensuring that all Company rules and regulations and compliance with legislation is always achieved.
- Ensuring all documentation is checked against consignment, reporting any issues or differences.
- To strive to ensure the punctual collection and delivery of all loads
- Always ensuring the safety of the vehicle and its load whilst on duty at all times and reporting any defects to the Traffic office/Operations team as soon as identified.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of the vehicle, using manual or mechanical lifting equipment where authorised and trained to do so.
- Flexible with shift starting and finishing times.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle whilst on duty, and leaving the vehicle in clean condition, reporting any defects immediately.
- _ To undertake any other tasks as reasonably requested by Depot Management_

**Qualifications**
- We will consider new passed HGV Class 1 Drivers on basis by basis.
- Possession of LGV Class 1 Licence
- Current CPC
- Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadline
