**Role Overview**:
The Underwriting Operations team supports the Chief Underwriting Officer in carrying out his responsibilities for underwriting profitability and oversight. These include overall responsibility for combined ratio performance, business planning, underwritingrisk, delivering good customer outcomes and ensuring compliance with internal and external underwriting standards, limits and appetites including local regulations such as those set by Lloyd's. The team provides support for both formal and informal underwriterreferrals on risks and wordings that are outside an underwriter's authority or where advice is sought. The team has a similar role regarding claims; setting standards, ensuring compliance and acting as a central resource.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Developing processes and controls to oversee and report on Underwriting Operations projects and key activities
- Coordinating activities and resources to ensure completion of project deliverables
- Monitoring progress of deliverables and addressing issues that may arise
- Tracking and reporting progress against delegated audit and independent underwriting review schedules
- Onboarding external auditors
- Collating and sharing relevant documentation in preparation for external audits
- Collating management information, preparing committee packs and providing support to Chairs of the committees
- Minute taking at Underwriting Operations Committees and tracking actions to completion
- Developing and maintaining Underwriting Operations intranet and SharePoint sites
- Maintaining the Underwriting Operations Document Register, ensuring documents are reviewed and published within agreed timelines
- Working collaboratively with the Underwriting Operations team to influence and implement efficiency improvements
- Attending meetings as required
- Assisting with Underwriting Operations tasks as required
