**2378 - Team Supervisor / Team Lead - Aberdeen**

We have an urgent requirement for a skilled IT support Team Supervisorto join our team in **Aberdeen**. The Team Supervisor will be responsible for the leadership, direction and delivery of the team and services with aim to consistently meet business requirements. The role supports the business objectives by providing safe, secure and stable systems. You’ll work onsite in Aberdeen working in a hybrid working environment (3 days onsite a week).

**What you’ll do**
- Provide leadership, direction and delivery of the team and services with aim to consistently meet business requirements
- Support the business objectives by providing safe, secure and stable systems
- Creation and maintenance of operational documentation (incl. processes, procedures, design & configuration, and operating manuals)
- Work with appropriate teams and 3rd party vendors to ensure the integrity of services
- Support management in defining resilience and disaster recovery strategies
- Support management prioritising team activities and managing user experience
- Deliver BAU Services through either direct staff or managed service provision
- Lead the technical team
- Support management to develop workforce plans that ensure IT operations can supply skilled resources to meet current and future demand across the enterprise
- Adhere to enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics
- Support the on-going security, performance, stability, maintenance and monitoring of their portfolio
- Ensure the adoption of (and commitment towards) service improvements
- Build successful peer relationships with other IT and business functions through a clear understanding of business needs, and ensuring delivery of IT services to meet those needs
- Work with management and supply chain to support IT operations sourcing strategy and partner relationship management
- Follow the formal governance mechanism to establish and monitor effective controls for the processes and functions performed by IT operations teams
- Ensure performance assessment is focused on standard products and services through outcomes and team collaboration
- Drive the adoption of, and further development and enhancement of, re-usable, repeatable, standardised, and measurable processes
- Develop and manage internal team, and handle people management responsibilities including coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management
- Responsible for ensuring IT operational capabilities achieve regulatory and statutory compliance requirements
- Develop and maintain the relationship with the product areas, including demand and resource planning
- Accountable for ensuring compliance with all Harbour IS related processes, policies and work practices
- Provide input to the team’s budget, portfolio of projects and resources, with robust processes and services that are fully aligned with the business goals

**What to bring**
- Experience of managing an IT support team
- Experienced at working with business users, and third‐party vendors
- Self-motivated with a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve important goals
- Ability to develop staff through coaching, mentoring and performance management
- Strong third-party management skills, working closely with multi sourcing and vendor managers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to the workforce
- Experience of providing IT support in End User Services, Applications or Infrastructure
- Experience of developing and implementing process improvements
- ITIL qualification (foundation at a minimum or similar demonstrated experience)
