**Renewable Parts** is a growing and innovative supply chain partner in the wind energy sector. We offer services including supply chain management, refurbishment, and technical services, as well as supply of spare parts and consumables. Renewable Parts currently work with leading wind farm owners and operators, including RWE Renewables, SSE Renewables and Scottish Power Renewables.

To help with our continued growth and long-term vision, Renewable Parts is looking for a creative and forward-thinking **Junior Buyer** to help us realise our vision for a more sustainable green energy industry.

**The role**

We are recruiting a buying team to oversee our purchasing requirements. The Junior Buyer will be part of this team and will facilitate the planning, creation, follow up and completion of all required purchase orders for the business. The individual will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, a clear understanding of urgency and be experienced in communicating effectively with a large national and international supplier base.

They will work closely with the sales team to confirm orders quickly and competently and expedite requests to completion as needed. They must be able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously, be a strong communicator across different platforms and have a can-do attitude.

The role reports to the Senior Buyer and is part of the Operations Department.

**Key Responsibilities**

The Buyer is responsible for the following:

- Compiling, inputting, and reviewing purchasing data within the ERP and other systems.
- Obtaining and arranging the appropriate transport requirements.
- Interfacing with the sales team to plan the delivery of all sales orders expectations.
- Expediting orders when required
- Stakeholder engagement - address supplier quality and supplier performance issues
- Providing support to other functions in the procurement department as required.
- Escalate issues to the Senior Buyer / Procurement Management
- Resolving purchase ledger queries from the accounts team
- Duty of care for your own Health and Safety and that of others
- Drive to encourage continuous improvement

**Key Requirements**

Essential:

- Purchasing, supply chain or expediting experience within a manufacturing or engineering business.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint
- MRP/ERP literate
- Strong focus on the accuracy of work and attention to detail
- Effective time management and strong organisational skills, particularly in progressing multiple work streams simultaneously
- Able to build and maintain commercially effective relationships with various suppliers concurrently
- Able to take the initiative and work independently to solve problems by researching solutions
- Have a sense of urgency and an ability to react quickly
- Assist in the development of the supplier base by measuring key metrics.

Desirable:

- Project management skills
- Distribution experience
- Supply chain management experience
