**Senior HR Consultant - Belfast**

Sometimes Outsourced HR replaces the need for an in-house HR function, sometimes we support less experienced or smaller HR teams upskill and upscale, and sometimes we take over the grunt-work to free up in-house HR professionals to focus on more strategic priorities.

- As a Senior HR Consultant, you will support our clients when unexpected issues arise and will also work strategically with them to improve the efficiency of their HR function, teams, and whole organisation.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

- Delivery of the highest quality ER and HR advice and support to Think People’s clients.
- Delivery of coaching and workshop-style training to clients on managing HR issues, ER casework procedures and HR technical topics.
- Undertake reviews and audits of HR policies and procedures and their implementation in client organisations
- Design, develop and implement policies, procedures and processes that provide up to date and best practice foundations for day-to-day people management.
- Compose comprehensive correspondence on ER cases and other HR projects.
- Support clients with consultations, redundancies, restructures, and reorganisations including preparation and facilitation of Legal Agreements.
- Management of complex projects such as acquisitions/divestitures/TUPE, Job Evaluations and Pay Benchmarking
- Coach clients on dealing with grievance, disciplinary and performance issues.
- Remain up to date with employment legislation and best practice developments, and efficiently share this knowledge with colleagues and clients.
- Retention of current clients through exceptional service, expert advice, and support.
- Bring new thinking to organisations to allow the development of their HR function, to support best practice, develop successful leaders and add value.
- Build long term, lasting relationships to become a trusted advisor, supporting clients through challenges and opportunities.
- Business development to develop and market our services to new and existing clients, such as delivery of public seminars, writing thought leadership articles, on-the-road networking, attendance at networking events and conferences, input into tenders and proposals. You will also be expected to develop your own ideas for growing your client portfolio.
- Coaching and mentoring of team and delivery of internal training sessions

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Minimum Associate member of CIPD
- Minimum 3-year relevant experience as a Lead HR generalist, with strong technical HR knowledge and evidence of delivering HR projects and on-the-ground support.
- Track record of taking ownership to manage complex HR projects to their conclusion that meet deadlines and are within budget.
- Proven track record of managing complex Employee Relations cases
- Ability to demonstrate previous experience in the key responsibilities of the role as outlined in ‘About the Role’
- Experience and knowledge of NI employment law
- A driving license with the ability to travel to client sites across NI, RoI, and the UK when necessary.

**DESIRABLE CRITERIA**
- Postgraduate degree in HR Management (or equivalent)
- Chartered Membership of CIPD
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience as a Senior HR generalist, with strong technical HR knowledge and evidence of delivering HR projects and on-the-ground support.
- Qualification and experience in mediation.
- Experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
- In-depth knowledge of ROI and GB employment law.
