Head of Supply Chain Finance

**Key Responsibilities**
- Be the Finance business partner to the senior leadership team for Logistics/Supply Chain
- Manage the accounting and control for Logistics/Supply Chain costs for Pilgrim’s Europe across the legal entity and business unit landscape (excluding France/Netherlands)
- Provide insightful analysis to help identify opportunities for cost efficiency, including gap up opportunities
- Support reporting of gap closure activities within the Logistics team
- Own the process and governance around logistics, cold store and other 3PL costs, ensuring financial integrity of the P&L and balance sheet
- Own the weekly, monthly and annual reporting processes for Logistics/Supply Chain
- Own the mechanism to ensure appropriate allocation of costs to sites
- Support product costings processes, ensuring that logistics standard costs are reviewed on a regular basis and updated in accordance with internal policy
- Support the budget and forecast processes for logistics costs across Pilgrim’s Europe
- Ensure strong balance sheet control, reviewing all relevant reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Ensure robust reconciliation of inventory at third party warehouses, in particular ensuring reconciliation of product transactions through the Central Distribution Centre (CDC), including the tracking of surplus stock as associated accounting
- Prepare presentations/analysis as necessary to ensure the financial impact of Logistics activity is understood, attending and presenting at meetings as required by the Logistics management team
- Support the Logistics/Supply Chain team with scenario analysis, evaluation of new opportunities, cost reduction studies and cost-benefit analysis of potential projects
- Pro-actively identify opportunities for profit improvement and working capital reductions
- Enhance & embed business partnering culture and ways of working with the supply chain finance team
- Work with the internal control team to drive improvements and standardisation in finance processes
- Promote a culture of rigorous financial control and commercial awareness and ensure Group Finance Policy is implemented and adhered to
- Managing and coaching a team of finance professionals, ensuring their development and achievement of high performance standards, ensuring cross-cover for all tasks and succession planning for each role
- Ensure compliance with all SOX and standard internal controls as required
- Support external and internal audit processes as required
- Carry out ad hoc projects as required
- Any other reasonable duties as may be required
**Essential Criteria**
- Management of accounting/finance teams
- Highly numerate and meticulous attention to detail
- FMCG experience ideal
- Proactive in dealing with issues
- Continuous improvement mindset in processes and ways of working
- Strong analytical ability
- Challenging and able to influence
- Able to build relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
