The SEN Classroom Assistant:
For this SEN Classroom Assistant position, you must have a very good understanding of a range of SEN: Autism, ADHD, complex learning difficulties, physical disabilities and communication difficulties. You should be an SEN Classroom Assistant who can communicateeffectively with children with SEN and build up a strong rapport. You must hold a Level 3 SEN Classroom Assistant qualification to be considered for this position.
The SEN Classroom Assistant Role:
As an SEN Classroom Assistant at this school, you will be supporting teaching staff with managing classroom behaviours and providing effective learning support. You will be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, providing wellbeing and academicassistance. As an SEN Classroom Assistance, you will also work with students in interventions, coaching with behaviour or wellbeing.

This primary school based in South Birmingham caters for KS1 and KS2 pupils with a mixed intake. There is a high proportion of pupils on the SEND register who require additional support. As an SEN Classroom Assistant, you will have access to extensive resourcesand facilities for your work.
