Job Title: Metallurgical Quality Assurance Engineer

Hours of Work: 07:00 - 16:00 Monday - Thursday, 07:00 - 15:00 Friday

Reporting to: Metallurgical Engineering Lead

Job Purpose

The Metallurgical Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all customer requirements are achieved for all metallurgical based products. They will also work in the production and review of all customer facing documentation and will review and develop specific methods to achieve specification and customer related requirements.

Position in the Organisation

The Metallurgical Quality Assurance Engineer will report to the Metallurgical Engineering Lead and form part of the proof machining business unit. You will liaise with other stakeholders and departments within the organisation to ensure that all products are produced to, or above the standard laid out in customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Metallurgical quality assurance tasks and duties:_
- **Creation and review of quality assurance documentation for the Metallurgical division, ensuring stakeholder understanding and adherence to the documentation.**:

- **Interpretation of customer, national & international specifications, effectively communicating these alongside other customer requirements to other stakeholders.**:

- **Conducting Contract review and adherence to all outlined terms by all parties.**:

- **Continuous improvement of all sections of responsibility**:

- **Handling customer quality related queries and working towards efficient resolutions.**:

- **Reporting documentation failure**:

- **Maintain a high standard of all customer facing documentation.**

Measurable Areas:

- Ensuring that all requirements are collated and captured within the production process.

**Reliability & Accountability** - Attendance and Punctuality. Dependability and reliability. Achieving set goals and targets within an agreed time frame. Contributing to their own, their team and the company’s objectives.
- Accountability for achieving and meeting customer expectations
- Present customer documentation timely and to a high standard.
- Record, track and report on all documentation and failures to customers.

**Interpersonal Skills** - Effectively communicating with any relevant stakeholders. Ability to work well with others and contribute to their team. Show leadership qualities, in their role or their area of expertise.
- Clearly understand and articulate customer requirements through to the proof machining team.
- Handle documentation issues and changes, both with internal and external stakeholders

**Proactive Attitude** -Willingness to take on additional responsibilities. Proactive approach to problem solving and identifying opportunities for improvement. Be able to adapt to changes within the working environment, flexibility in new challenges or changing of priorities. Want and willing for self development.
- Suggest projects to improve internal processes or the quality of documentation.

Requirements for the position:

- Extremely detailed orientated, diligent and thoughtful of processes
- Ability to read and interpret documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to articulate understanding to stakeholders
- Confident in creation of documentation
- Organised and focused
- Educated to degree level would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Ability to work independently

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
