Abbey Wood Lodge in Ormskirk are searching for that all important Senior Care Assistant to join our team and continue to promote our high standards and family feel. As a Senior Care Assistant you are important and integral to the team and you are important and needed by the residents.

As a Senior Care Assistant you will be responsible for a number areas in the home:

- Helping support residents with their evening routines and dispensing medication,
- Working with families to understand each residents needs, desires and purpose in their daily lives,
- Checking on residents in a timely manner to ensure they are comfortable, their dignity is respected and they feel safe and secure at all time,
- Being the individual who supports the residents, keeping them company and keeping their purpose in life strong,
- You will help support and lead the care assistants in the home, assisting with questions, advice and ensuring the day runs smoothly,
- You will dispense medication to each resident through the day and recording information in a timely and accurate manner,
- Assisting care assistants with ensuring the home is kept clean and records are diligently updated,
- Working closely with external bodies to ensure the appropriate level of care is provided to each resident,
- Updating and reviewing care plans in accordance with regulations and policies,
