Police Cadets 2023

Develop your volunteering and personal development opportunities through Volunteer Police Cadets. Have fun, get involved in exciting experiences and learn about policing.

**We are currently looking for cadets aged between 13 and 18 years old to join the unit at Malton starting in September**

Cadet meetings take place during term time for two hours a week on a weekday. You will follow a structured programme about policing duties, skills and basic law. Cadet sessions will also include physical activities, drills and visits from various departments within North Yorkshire Police such as the Dog Section, Roads Policing and Crime Scene Investigation units.

As a cadet there will be opportunities to take part in community events alongside your local Neighbourhood Policing Team and other partner agencies.

After your initial training, you will attend a presentation ceremony where you will take the Cadet Oath in front of your friends and family. Cadets will be issued with a police cadet uniform.

Applications close midnight on Wednesday 11th July 2023.

we will be looking to hold interviews after school within a couple of weeks of the closing date.
