**Position: Childcare Practitioner**
**Hours of work**:Full-time 40 hours +
**Salary**: Negotiable depending upon experience
**Contract**:Permanent, Full-Time
Due to increasing demand for childcare places, Smart Kids are searching for experienced and passionate practitioners to join our friendly, welcoming team.
**You must have a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification** **and recent working experience in a childcare setting.**
**The main duties are**:
- Practitioners should support the Childcare Practice Manager to provide safe, high quality education and care within a stimulating and inclusive environment in which babies and young children are supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
- To fulfil legal and statutory requirements.
- To work as a key person as part of the nursery team.
- Attend staff meetings, parents evenings and take part in fundraising, special events, outings and visits, which may be held out of normal contracted hours.
- Encourage parental involvement and to demonstrate daily care and assessment of children to parents.
- To be responsible for planning and implementing a varied programme suitable for the age, stage of development and interest of every child in line with the EYFS. To arrange trips out and invite appropriate visitors.

**Qualifications**
**Essential**
- Relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification
- GCSE Grade A-C Maths and English
- A satisfactory enhanced DBS check which confirms suitability to work with children.
- Relevant safeguarding and paediatric first aid qualifications
- You must be experienced as a childcare practitioner, with a minimum of 3 years in the profession

- Relevant food hygiene and health & safety qualifications
