This job role is hugely varied; although the role is based at our reception desk/area it is not a ‘Receptionist’ role...... because it is so much more The front of house face on the reception desk is integral to the smooth running of the practice day to day. Being the key link between clients, vets and our nurses.

You have to juggle a lot of balls (at the same time) and above everything else keep calm so you can deliver kindness to our pet owners walking through the door. The focus at all times is based around caring for our clients and wanting to help them and their pet to the best of your ability.

An example of Day to day activities include:

- Welcoming clients and their pets
- hosting/looking after the clients in the building
- managing the client experience
- answering the phone and replying on our instant messaging platform
- booking appointments
- managing our health club administration
- helping to organise refferals to specialists
- ensuring client queries are answered on time
- taking payments and organising the daily banking
- Liasing with the clinical staff to accurately triage cases
- Sending information to clients
- collecting histories from other practices

Skills we are looking for:

- Organised
- Calm and confident with client relations
- Computer Literate (our Practice management system is fairly easy but you need a good memory)
- Empathetic
- Smiley and welcoming
- Friendly approach (even when clients are not that polite to you)
- Chatty (to our clients, making them feel at ease in the waiting room)
- A passion for animal welfare
- Team player

No veterinary specific experience is required, previous experience in hospitality and front of house preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 22 - 32 per week
