**Your new role**Our client is a global organisation looking for experienced DBA's to join their business in the New Year.
As a DBA SME, you will be involved with large scale customer infrastructure transition and transformation projects relating to specific customer infrastructure systems and associated software, ensuring that the service provided to Atos customers meets the requirementsset out in the project definition.
You will conduct peer reviews of documentation and creates LLD (Low Level Designs) when required. During an assignment, you will be expected to consistently demonstrate the following key skills within the project assignment context.
Please see some responsibilities that you will take on below:

- Ensure smooth handover of implemented systems into ongoing support, participating in relevant processes.
- Assist and advise in troubleshooting technical issues when required.
- Participate in implementation and migration activities, providing direction and support to other project team members, including less experienced SMEs, when required.
- Plan and undertake changes to software/hardware as agreed with the customer/project.
- Assess user requirements and formulate technical specifications that are cost effective and accurately meet the identified needs of the customer.

**What you'll need to succeed**Technical Knowledge Required:
**SQL Server - Versions 2005 to 2019 - Express and to Full versions**
**Oracle Databases - Versions to**
- Main administrative tasks on both database platforms as follows:

- Troubleshooting issues ie Availability, performance, locks, blocks, resource allocation
- Running scripts against Db's and providing results
- DB backups
- User management
- Database refresh/Restores
- Installs
- Patching

**Windows server - 2003 - 2019**
- Understanding of Windows Operating systems, ie navigating, file management
- Good understanding of Windows/SQL Failover Clusters
- Support SQL and oracle databases on Windows Operating systems.
- Disk management
- User management
- Basic networking

**Unix OS**
- Basic understanding of Unix OS commands to navigate file management
- Supporting Oracle databases on Unix
- Disk management
- Monitoring and administrating
- Oracle via Grid
