**Join our Homelessness and Prevention Young People's team as a Support Assistant**

**The role**
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Support Assistant.

**Salary**: £25,119 per year
**Contract**: 6 month Fixed Term Contract
**Shifts**: 37.5 hours per week. Shifts will be on a rolling rota basis, 08:00-16:00, 15:00-23:00. You will be required to work some weekends and do at least 1 sleep-in shift each week (additional sleep in shift allowance is paid)
**Location**: Tower Hamlets

Your responsibilities will include:

- Facilitate and encourage effective customer participation, consultation and feedback within the service.
- Promote and encourage customer involvement in Social Inclusion. This will include supporting colleagues with group work.
- Researching services and opportunities in the community that will meet the needs of our customers
- Facilitating activities, visits, events that will serve our customers needs and interests.
- Supporting our customers and the Support Officer team

**What you will need to succeed**
- Experience of meeting customers needs or interests
- A passion to make a difference
- An understanding of issues faced by young people living in supported accommodation.
- Energetic, enthusiastic and highly motivated,
- An empathetic approach with an understanding attitude.
- Willingness to undertake training
