A FTSE 100 retail business is recruiting a Head of ESG Investor Relations on a 12-month FTC (maternity cover) to lead their ESG investor relations programme.
The Head of ESG Investor Relations will work closely with the organisation's CEO, CFO, and IR Director to build investor and analyst support for its ESG programme. They will be responsible for proactively and reactively engaging investors and analysts throughconferences, roadshows, investor updates, sustainability reports and corporate news channels.
**The primary responsibilities of the Head of ESG Investor Relations include**:
- Build and nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders, investors and analysts and ensure ESG programmes are front and centre of discussions.
- Work closely with C-Suite colleagues to ensure they are briefed, prepared and on top of ESG-related matters.
- Plan and deliver an ESG-focussed investor engagement programme across multiple channels, including roadshows, press releases, market updates and corporate communications.
- Monitor and analyse ESG-related news, policy and competitor updates to tailor the company's ESG investor programme.
- Review and counsel internal stakeholders' sustainability reporting, external content and governance committee papers to ensure the ESG investor programme is considered.
**Essential skills and experience required of the Head of ESG Investor Relations**:
- Extensive IR or corporate communications experience focused on ESG within FTSE 100 or FTSE 250 businesses.
- A passion for sustainability and proven awareness of key developments and the impact of ESG on corporates.
- Experience working with senior executives and providing investor relations counsel to them on a proactive and reactive basis.
- A solid black book of intuitional and analyst relationships is preferred.
- Comfortable working with numbers - no need to be financially qualified, but there is a need to tell an engaging story with numbers.
