Mill Operative

**Job Title**: Mill Operative

**Location**: Northallerton

**Shift**: 48 per week

To carry out the day to day operation of the mill production plant, equipment and processes from raw material intake to out loading, adhering to the related Operational, Quality and Health and Safety procedures. To ensure health and safety standards and feed safety are never compromised. Maximise efficiency, service and feed consistency.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Production of finished product to the defined quality standard and schedule
- Perform required Quality sampling, sample selection and submission accurately to agreed schedules.
- Completion of the daily production plan as part of the team
- To be familiar with the requirement of the relevant ABN Procedures and UFAS standards, and to ensure Feed Safety and Quality is maintained to achieve assist in enabling the company to achieve the standards required.
- The areas this individual is responsible for must comply with the criteria set out by internal Site Improvement Process (SIP) Standards
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental Law, Policy and standards at site

What we’re looking for:

- Prior experience in food/agricultural/production environments
- HACCP Level 2
- Working with automated plant machinery
- Lean Manufacturing Experience
- PC Skills
- The ability to make decisions based on your own knowledge and experience
