Principal Process Engineer - Technical Manager - Process Engineering Manager - £65,000 - £80,000

Our client is a leading multidiscipline Process Engineering consultancy covering the UK, Europe and the Rest of the World. Specialising in Chemical, Petrochemical, Renewable Energy and Emerging Technologies, working on some of the most innovative projects acrossthe sector.
**Your new role**
The Principal Process Engineer/Process Manager would be responsible for leading and developing the Process Engineering function across the whole business.
You will be a dynamic process engineer working closely with Clients to develop process packages based on a sound understanding of the engineering fundamentals. The Principal Process Engineer/Process Manager will lead a teams of Process Engineers and ideallywant to progress their career to be a Head of Department or Board Director level.
Position Description:

- Developing of process engineering deliverables: Basis of Design, Heat and Mass Balances, P&ID's, datasheets etc.
- Working closely with Clients to develop project specifications and conduct feasibility studies
- Fulfilling role of Owner's Engineer, managing relationships between client, technology providers, EPC contractors and vendors.
- Lead Process Engineer to deliver capital projects as part of a project team - controlling man-hours, deliverables and programme.
- Developing proposals, including technical and commercial deliverables.
- Acting as Technology Lead for a sector (e.g. hydrogen or biotechnology) - leading relationships with technology providers, maintaining and developing knowledge of the sector, assisting in business development.
- Advising clients on scale-up of technology projects to meet funding and commercial development goals (e.g. through pilot, demonstration, and proof-of-concepts projects).

**What you'll need to succeed**
Required:

- Chemical Engineering Degree and chartered membership of IChemE
- Good practical knowledge and experience in engineering design - either in a contracting or operations role.
- Leadership experience/aptitude - ability to manage front-end projects and act as lead process engineer.
- Experience of technology development through Technology Readiness Levels.

Preferred:

- Experience in technology evaluation and integration
- Process safety design experience e.g. Hazard Studies, SIL determination, LoPA's
- EPC project experience.
- Site experience in commissioning or operations.
- Business Development and/or Commercial ability
- Experience in design and/or operation of biotechnology/bio-refining facilities (e.g. waste processing via digestion or fermentation processes; biofuel production)
- Experience in hydrogen
