Str Lower

This role is a full-time position in the NHS based in Bishop Auckland, Durham; it offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust is seeking an enthusiastic StR Lower in Old Age Psychiatry to work 09:00-17:00. Your core responsibilities would be to help assess, diagnose, and oversee the mental health of patients in your care. This is a locum role.

It is essential the postholder has a minimum of 4 months of experience in general psychiatry at a F2 level as a minimum. It is desirable that the appointed psychiatrist has experience in old age psychiatry and geriatric medicine. Duties include attending daily report out and carry outward based jobs arising from the report out. Clerking in new admissions, physical health reviews and regular reviews of mental state and risk.

**Skills**:

- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Computer literate

**Requirements**:

- You must have a full GMC licence to practice
- Relevant previous experience working in this type of position
- Ability to work as team worker with professional colleagues, both clinical and non-clinical.
- Experience in Old Age Psychiatry is preferred but not essential.
